For more than 30 years Grundberg Mocatta Rakison LLP has been at the forefront of the London legal scene when it comes to advising clients from Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Iceland.
Over the last decade GMR has grown rapidly and today its team consists of lawyers and tax advisors all of whom specialise primarily in cross-border legal work, within our corporate & commercial, employment, litigation, private client, property or tax departments. Many in the Group have strong connections in the Nordic region through family, language and dual qualification.
Whilst GMR is an English legal practice, GMR believes it is unique in offering a broad spectrum of advice with such a strong understanding of the Nordic region. Being able to communicate with our Nordic clients in their native tongue, whilst at the same time being able to assist them in complex UK and international matters, has always been an advantage which GMR's clients appreciate.
In the event of specialist advice being required on particular Nordic legal and tax issues, GMR has an extensive network of advisors in all the Nordic countries with whom we enjoy a close professional relationship.
In addition to the above main practice areas, GMR has extensive experience in international family, tax and inheritance law: Over the years GMR has acted for numerous Nordic clients in UK divorce proceedings and are also frequently appointed administrators in estates where assets are situated in various parts of the world. GMR also regularly advises on restructuring issues and generation planning in relation to family-owned businesses.
