Larry George provides advice in all areas of commercial and business activity and in corporate matters for business clients. His advice is focused so as to be commercially practical and pragmatic, whilst advising the client on matters of risk and compliance.
In the energy and natural resources area he provides services related to exploration, licensing, development and production, oil trading and oil products supply, distribution and marketing, joint ventures, company formations, farm-ins, farm-outs, sales and marketing, commercial and governmental negotiations, indemnity arrangements, and environmental and health and safety matters. He also advises on trading physical oil, oil products and commodities and has advised on derivative trades (including regulatory aspects) in the UK and US.
He also regularly advises on structured commodity finance arrangements including pre-export finance, pre-payment deals, and has experience in barter and counter-trade deals.
Larry George also has considerable experience dealing with management of intellectual property, licensing of trade marks, patents, know-how and other IP rights, franchising (in Russia), patent disputes, technology transfer (from Russia).
His experience extends to matters in the UK, Europe, USA, Latin America and the Far East; his Russia related experience dates from 1985. He is a former partner in Lovells and he still works with them from time to time as a consultant on some FSU related matters. He was resident in Moscow from August 1996 to September 2002.
