Valeria Freiberg
Valeria Freiberg joined Grundberg Mocatta Rakison in 2006 as part of the practice merger with White and Jones LLP, and is an associate in the Corporate Department and a member of the Russia and Eurasia Group. Prior to joining GMR, Valeria worked for two years as an associate lawyer with the international law firm of White and Jones LLP.
Valeria, a Russian native, studied at the University of Latvia, gaining a BA Honours (Philology) and an MA (Linguistics). Valeria worked for seven years as an officer with law enforcement agencies in Latvia. After relocating to England, she completed a postgraduate degree in law at the Metropolitan University (London) in 2003 and received her Legal Practice Certificate from The College of Law (London) in 2004. She qualified as a solicitor in 2008.
Valeria has experience working with the commercial laws of Russia, Latvia, Sweden, Austria and England. Her career has involved working on cross border corporate transactions and public offerings. She is also regularly engaged to deal with complex cross border corporate litigation and arbitration issues.
